Foot Health Practitioner
Everyday foot care and checks, with one of our foot health practitioners.
What a foot health practitioner covers
Our foot health practitioners look after everyday foot care. They treat a shorter list of problems than our podiatrists, which keeps the appointment cost down. A foot health practitioner appointment covers:
- Toenail care
- Fungal toenail treatment
- Thickened nails
- Athlete's foot
- Corns and callus
- Diabetes assessment
- Vascular assessment
- Simple chair side props
Seeing the right person
You do not need to choose between a foot health practitioner and a podiatrist. When you book, we will ask a few questions about your feet and book you in with the right person. If you need something more, such as nail surgery or a biomechanical assessment, see routine podiatry.
Questions
How is this different from routine podiatry?
A foot health practitioner treats a shorter list of everyday problems. Podiatrists are more experienced and treat a wider range, such as ingrown toenails, bunions, sprains and wounds. We will book you with the right one when you call.
Do you offer home visits?
No. All appointments are at the clinic.
How do I pay?
All fees are paid on the day of your visit. We take card payments.
Can I claim the cost back from my insurer?
We will give you a receipt so you can claim from your insurer, and we can provide information for insurance companies. To find out how you could claim back your money for podiatric care, visit Simplyhealth.
What if I need to cancel?
Please give us 24 hours' notice. Missed appointments without notice are charged.
